Daily Lip Care Routine
Lip care is an extremely important part of our health and beauty routine. The skin on our lips is thinner and more delicate than the rest of our body. This makes it much more susceptible to environmental factors, such as temperature, low humidity and other influences which will leave your lips dry, flaky and cracked, which can be very uncomfortable. Here are some simple steps for your daily lip care to get those luscious and healthy lips:

Step 2: Exfoliation is key in getting soft, smooth, and supple lips. There are lip exfoliation products that take natural ingredients, like sugar, and use it to scrub off all of the dead skin cells on your lips. To exfoliate, take a small amount of the lip scrub in your finger and massage it onto your top and bottom lips in circular motions. You should only exfoliate about once a week to avoid dryness and brittleness.
Step 3: Apply a moisturising lip balm. Lather it on and let your lips absorb the balm for five minutes before applying another product to get the most effective hydration. For the best moisturising effect look for lip balms with sunflower, almond or olive oils. These will leave your lips feeling smooth, relieve any itchiness or burning, and provide your lips with essential vitamins. Not only that, it will make the lipstick look smoother and better.
Step 4: Your lips are vulnerable to sun and wind damage, so protect them with a lip balm containing at least SPF 15 to avoid harmful UV rays. Zinc is a natural sun block so find a non-whitening zinc sunscreen/lip balm for a healthy, chemical-free formula.

Instead apply a moisturizing lip balm and let it work its magic.Do not lick your dry lips. Licking your lips might provide temporary relief, but it does much more harm than good. The saliva will evaporate quickly on your lips and leave them even drier than before. For extremely dry lips try spreading Aloe over them for the most effective healing technique.Look at your lip balm label. Any lip balms with unidentifiable ingredients such as methylparaben, which has possible links to cancer, or any other confusing chemicals should be strictly avoided as they can dry out your lips. For the best results, look for balms with all natural ingredients and essential oils.
